My cell phone is silent
Just two or three inches away from my hand
There it lies, unused
Untouched
It takes me a while
But slowly
Hesitantly I pick it up
and punch in your number
"Your call has been forwarded...
...To an automated voice message"
"I'm sorry...
I can't talk now..."
"I'll call you later...
...I promise."
So I hang up
And place my phone down
Two or three inches away from my hand
And it will lie there unused again
Untouched again
Til the day I dare pick it up once more
Or till you call me back
Whichever comes first

Not my best work really. A spur of them omen thign if you will.
Bascially I'm sick and tired of calling people and meetign nothign but their answering machines. I stopped botherign with messages a long time ago. If I'm annoyed enough to leave a message, it will be a bitchy one with losts of yelling involved.
